Tangled roots and changing tides: mangrove governance for conservation and sustainable use
As part of the Save Our Mangrove Now! Initiative, The IUCN Environmental Law Centre and experts from seven countries developed a study on the legal and institutional frameworks governing mangroves in order to identify the gaps, best practices and elaborate appropriate recommendations. The study draws on detailed case studies in Costa Rica, Vietnam, Madagascar, Pakistan, Kenya, Tanzania and Mozambique, as well as a global desk study and additional legislative reviews in Mexico and India.
