The Economist’s World Ocean Summit in Middle East Connects Coastal Ecosystem Experts With Influential Investors

Jennifer Howard, Conservation International’s Director of Marine Climate Change at the Center for Oceans, participated in a poignant panel joined by Emily Landis, Coastal Wetlands Strategy Lead at The Nature Conservancy, and Torsten Thiele, President, Global Ocean Trust, where they spoke before influential investors about why they should financially support nature-based solutions to climate change for coastal ecosystem restoration. The panelists used the rare opportunity to engage with private sector actors in hopes of galvanizing future investment.
