Lauren Spurrier has been with WWF for more than two decades advocating for ocean conservation in some of the world’s most important marine environments. Today she is managing director in charge of developing and leading ocean-related strategic partnerships.
Lauren currently manages Global Environment Facility (GEF) projects including the global GEF Coastal Fisheries Initiative. Lauren got her start in the United States Peace Corps where she designed and established new programs in Latin America and Eastern Europe, and served as a volunteer in Paraguay. In addition, Lauren worked for the Inter-American Foundation managing a portfolio of development projects in Bolivia, Chile, and Paraguay.
