Let the Crabs Date in Brazil

In Pará state, Brazil, RESPECT’s behavior campaign, Let the Crabs Date, promotes the respect of the closed season so that mangrove crabs can breed protected, and their populations can thrive. This Rare-led Fish Forever campaign has been underway for four years with broad participation of local associations and governmental institutions. It has brought an increase in fishers and buyers respecting the regulations, helping boost the value of the mangrove ecosystems to local communities.
